Loose weight – be fit – use our gym – take our diet pills – it never ends. It is relentless, the drive to loose weight in our society. There is not one easy answer no matter how much we search. But there is an answer if you want to loose weight.

A healthy diet which includes some fat, vitamins, protein and low calories – few carbs. This diet along with moderate exercise will help you to loose weight and keep it off. To overdo the diet, to overdo the exercise can lead to more extreme health problems. If you feel you are not in good health; if you are feeling stressed, worn out, apathetic, your diet may be lacking in good nutrition. An if you are not getting good nutrition, chances are your family aren’t either.

A common breakfast of a bagel and coffee does nothing to help you get through the day. You will find that you lack clarity of thought, you will feel fatigued and chances are you will be irritable. All these are signs of a lacking diet. But be careful you don’t find yourself on a high calorie diet without corresponding moderate exercise, you will probably notice a weight gain which in turn can lead to severe problems as well. One of the signs you will find will be a lack of energy.

You obviously need calories. You need them for energy and interestingly, to loose weight you need to have a certain intake of calories. But they need to be healthy calories coupled with protein, fats and vitamins. The right balance is crucial to feeling alert and feeling good. In addition, your body will be well equipped to fight off infections and diseases. But just as important as an appropriate diet for loosing weight, is including moderate exercise. Diet and exercise make a great combination to loose weight.

Unfortunately, motivation is something that is absolutely required if you want to lose weight. But it can be tough to stay dedicated and motivated every single day. There is always the temptation to take a break from the regime. Whether its only five pounds or more, sticking with it can be the hardest thing you do in life. You must find your own strength to work towards your loose weight goal. And being sidetracked really is all part of the game. We are tempted everyday, to just take that little break. Have that little bit of ice cream or a snack at Death By Chocolate. And sometimes you will get sidetracked but don’t be discouraged and by all means don’t give up. By grabbing on to that motivation deep inside you (and sometimes not so very deep), you embark on the road to good health, lower weight, an overall healthier outlook on life. Staying focused will help you stay motivated and staying motivated is what it is all about.
