One popular program will cost you $20 a week and that is without special food. You go to weight loss programs to loose weight – right? But you want it to be a safe, reliable and effective program. But there are so many, how do you chose? Here are a few tips to help you make a good decision after you have done your research. 1. find one that includes a regular exercise component and will measure your endurance on a regular basis. 2. Are there sound medical reasons for following a particular program or is the program someone’s flight of fancy. If is a particularly special type of diet, follow it under the guidance of a physician. 3. Diet counseling sessions should be available. At the very lease group sessions should be available to the participants. Weight loss programs are more effective when you know you are not the only one trying to loose weight. 4. The program needs to have a list of “do” items not just a list of “don’ts”. 5. Pick a program that fits your lifestyle. 6. A program needs to encourage you to be more physically active, not just to eat less. 7. Understand that the program will cost money – that is one of the reasons they can provide you with qualified help and assistance. 8. Once you have reached your weight goal, is there a follow up program to help you stay motivated to keep the weight off.
